Samsung felicitates over 12,500 athletes participating in the upcoming Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games by offering the new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Games Edition, a specially developed version of the popular Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. It would help athletes to communicate with their friends and family around the world easily.
Just last week, Samsung announced its Rio Olympic version of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The device is named “Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Games Limited Edition.” It is one of the first smartphone from the South Korean giant with business aspects with specifically adapted design only for the upcoming Rio Olympics.
Samsung is also offering consumers and fans to commemorate the 2016 Rio Olympics by making a limited edition of the smartphone, which is going to be available from July 18, 2016.
Design and Features
The Rio Olympic edition of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is black in colour with a blue logo on the back representing Olympic Games. In addition, Samsung introduced inventive software that would be suitable for the infectious Olympic atmosphere. For instance, this limited edition smartphone would have some apps only available for visitors and athletes at the Rio Olympics 2016.
Samsung has also signed a sponsorship agreement with the Olympic Committee and would let all participating athletes to rest with this new and limited edition of Galaxy S7 Edge. Athletes would also be provided with a latest Gear Icon X wireless headset.
Limited Edition Launch
Samsung has announced that the limited edition of 2016 pieces, which includes the sale, would go in selected countries only – USA, Brazil, China, South Korea and Germany. However, it is still not clear whether Samsung is going to 2016 units in total or in each country.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Games Limited Edition has the same hardware specification as that of Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
