If your phone has been craving for that super rich Marshmallow update, here is the good news. Samsung users who are planning to buy the latest flagships phones, namely the Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ can expect the phones with the latest Marshmallow update this Christmas.
According to sources, news about the arrival of the latest update was leaked when Samsung made an announcement that the update would finally happen around the fourth quarter of this year. The company has neither confirmed nor denied the news.
If reports are to be believed, the first models to get the update would be Samsung Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge + in December. Next in line would be Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge users expect the same around February 2016.
The first phase of updates would end somewhere in February and would include only the higher end phones from the home of Samsung. During the second phase (date not confirmed or announced), users of tier two phones like Samsung Galaxy A8, A7, A5, A3, E7 and E5 can expect an update.
It is still not clear whether Samsung plans to roll out the update in the third phase. However, if you have an older version of the Note or Galaxy series phones, you might have to wait till the end of the next year for the update, unless you want to shift to a more modern version of android smartphone.
