It is rumored that Samsung is likely to release its three new versions of Galaxy S7 smartphones at the upcoming launch. According to reports, Samsung may release a regular Galaxy S7, the S7 Edge, and the S7 Edge+ in the next few months.
The two earlier models were Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in which the Edge version had a slick-looking curved screen, which enhanced the features to the sides of the smartphone. These smartphones were released in the month of April 2015. Samsung also released the Best Buy Galaxy S6 Edge +, which is a larger phablet-like device, in the month of August 2015.
However, if rumors are to be believed, Samsung may launch all three Galaxy S7 models at once, which is going to be a big event.
The story evolved from a recent marketing material posted on Twitter, which revealed the names of three rumored Galaxy S7 models side by side, suggesting that the world is not going to witness a staggered launch like last year. The story comes from a famed leaker and tech writer Evan Blass.
Blass did not comment further on this rumor, though he did say that he was surprised by this statement.
Rumor-milling has always been the favourite pastime of techniques, and there has been speculation over the size and shape of S7. Whilst some say that it may have a 5.1-inch screen (as S6 and S6 Edge), others claim that it may be 5.5-inches.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ was somewhat larger than all other three, having a 5.7-inch screen. But, just in case Samsung is planning to launch all three models simultaneously, could explain the conflicting rumors over phone size.
Samsung unveiled the two flagship phones previously – Galaxy S5 and S6, at MCW (Mobile World Congress) trade show in Barcelona. In 2016, MCW runs from 22 to 25 February. So, people are eagerly waiting for the new phones to be launched simultaneously between these dates, and the device may hit the market sometime in March-April.
