Samsung Galaxy A3
Experts and common users alike consider the Samsung Galaxy A3 as a solid mid range smartphone. The price is such that it is neither too high nor too low and its build quality can rival any of the best in the market.
Best Build Quality
In the competitive market of smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy A3 has achieved a good reputation for its excellent build quality. After the introduction of Samsung Galaxy Alpha where the traditional plastic was shelved as designing material by the company, the A3 model also followed steps accordingly. A3 has unibody metallic frame which is stronger and smoother than earlier plastic frames.
Galaxy A3 Design
Samsung designed it’s A series of smartphones with premium unibody metallic frames. These phones look better than their plastic counterparts.
Galaxy A3 dispenses with plastic and uses metal as its frame material. A drawback with plastic frames was that it did not make the premium phones look classy, but the advent of metal has changed this. A3 presents complete metal construction and the phone looks smarter and more attractive. In white colour, the build quality and looks of Samsung Galaxy A3 is impressive.
Return of Signature Elements
Signature elements of Samsung return with Galaxy A3. Example is the home button that is now placed upfront. This is linked with capacitive back as well as a host of application keys. Power button is easy to reach and handle on the right side and a couple of SIM card slots are placed below it. One of these slots can also be used for inserting micro SD card.
Audio System, Camera and Visuals in Galaxy A3
One of the two slots used in the Galaxy A3 also works as the slot for adding micro SD card for storage enhancement that might be necessary for playing multimedia files. Volume rocker is placed to the left while the headphone jack as well as the micro USB port is at the bottom of the handset.
Camera in the Samsung Galaxy A3 is placed at the front and back. The rear camera comes with LED flash to the left. A single speaker is placed on the other side. A couple of downsides of the phone are the low resolution and somewhat poor camera performance but the disadvantages are neutralized by its excellent performance.
Longer Battery Life
Compared to most other products in the line, the battery life of Samsung Galaxy A3 is longer. The only downside is that the battery is non-removable and replacement means new battery with battery slot. A single charge can run the device for around 6-8 hours depending on the mode of use and thus the chances of user getting stranded in midst of important works is minimized. Considering that many other smartphones in the market also have non-removable battery, it is not a big flaw in Samsung Galaxy A3 either.
In terms of storage, the phone has 1.5 GB RAM for the single SIM version and 1 GB for the dual SIM version. The storage capability can be enhanced with addition of micro SD card.
All in all, the smartphone is a great device for use.
